I often found lectures too dense such that they obscured the main points and clinical relevance of disease presentations, but the AMBOSS knowledge library is organized in a manner that is easily digestible and simple to review. I couldn't imagine not having AMBOSS in my pocket while on rotations. The question bank however, is the backbone of the platform and really helps you understand if what you are learning is being retained. The days of buzzword recognition are gone and we need to be recognizing clinical presentations from a variety of viewpoints.
AMBOSS has been so helpful during my time in medical school. From studying for preclinical exams, to board preparation, and now clinical rotations, AMBOSS has provided me with valuable review material every step of the way. The Q-bank has been a great way to test my knowledge, and I have found it to be quite representative of actual board exams. Additionally, the Anki add-on has made it easier than ever for me to review topics that I may have forgotten or not studied yet.
Very helpful for clear explanations of pathophys, considerations for management, and contraindications of common medications. Helped with board preparation for Step 1 and 2. I plan to use it as a resource during intern year and while prepping for Step 3
I loved using AMBOSS throughout both my preclinical and clerkship years. During the preclinical phase, AMBOSS offered concise, visually appealing pearls for each condition, structured in a way that made complex topics easy to understand. In clerkships, AMBOSS provided up-to-date treatment plans for every case I encountered, which kept me confident and informed on the wards. As a daily Anki user, the seamless AMBOSS integration proved invaluable, reinforcing my learning and helping me stay on track. For my USMLE Step 1 preparation, I relied solely on the AMBOSS Qbank—and was able to pass without issue.
I exclusively used AMBOSS for module NBME exams and for step 1 preparation. The question bank provided exposure to essential concepts that were not covered as explicitly in class lecture material. The extended scope of knowledge on AMBOSS helped me to develop a better understanding of what is really required to achieve my personal goals in each class. Before I started using AMBOSS, I never felt like I was studying enough. After using AMBOSS for around 1.5 years, I can confidently take shelf exams knowing that I have been exposed to the most high yield topics while feeling at ease that I have studied sufficiently. For clinical rotations, I have found the AMBOSS app extremely comprehensive. I can easily find the most important pieces of a story to focus on before pre-rounding. The mobile app has also helped me to start making suggestions for the patient’s care plan. The articles that AMBOSS provides makes information finding and information interpretation seamless during clinical rounds.
I find AMBOSS incredibly useful when pre-rounding, rounding, or working in clinic. By being able to quickly look up topics, I can participate in patient plans, conversations, and reinforce my learning.
During the pre-clerkship years, the AMBOSS articles and question bank were a great resource for in-house exams. After finishing the faculty-generated practice questions, I would do the AMBOSS questions to solidify my knowledge before exams. For our EBM and differential diagnosis activities, I found the articles to be a quick and easy way to answer questions during class.During the clinical years, I always feel prepared to answer questions asked by faculty. On rounds, I frequently use the articles to look up certain conditions and educate myself on the patients we see.
During my didactic years, I used AMBOSS to help me prepare for in-house exams. Creating custom Qbanks allowed me to solidify my knowledge and perform well. I found AMBOSS even more helpful during third year; I used it to prepare for all of my COMAT exams, and it became my go-to resource at the hospital and outpatient clinics. Thanks to AMBOSS, I was always well-prepared for rounds, with well-thought-out differential diagnoses and appropriate treatment plans for the patients I was following.
AMBOSS was an incredibly helpful tool during my pre-clinical years when I used it to help me review content I had been lectured on that day. Getting practice question with such thorough feedback was very helpful in learning why the answer I chose was right or wrong and helped reprogram my brain to decode test questions in order to figure out what the writer wants me to know. In clinical rotations, it was very helpful to find the flowcharts and quick treatment algorithms when it came to managing patients.
These have been the most challenging questions, but the explanations are excellent and I've grown because of that. High-yield imaging, question bank, and the clinical management checklists now that I'm on clerkships has been the biggest help.
Amboss has been instrumental in my success as a medical study. It allows me to quickly look things up in lecture or on rotations. It helps me prepare for rounds and stay up to date on clinical diagnostics. It helped me study for STEP and pass because the questions are challenging and similar to the real life test questions. Their database is unmatched and I wholeheartedly recommend every student use Amboss. It should be the gold standard!
The AMBOSS knowledge app has been extraordinarily helpful during my M3 rotations, especially since my institution does not purchase Up to Date for us. I'm able to quickly look up relevant anatomy before procedures and first line treatments before rounds from a source I know is evidence-based and designed for medical students. The clerkship study plans have also reinforced high yield information that has earned me points on shelf exams.
I recently wrote my CCSE in preparation for my step 2 exam. It took me about 2 months of intensely doing AMBOSS questions from sun up to sun down, in between clinics and while cooking, and I went from failing my practice exam to passing the exam. AMBOSS was my primary study tool.
I started using Amboss during my second semester as a medical student, after I failed my block exam. Within the month of doing daily AMBOSS questions, my grades turned around so much that I passed every course above 90%.
AMBoss helped me both with my preclinical and clinical years in medical school. Often in the preclinical years during our case based learning sessions I would reference Amboss to get a quick answer. During the clinical years it really helped advance my assessment and plans for my patient presentations. I think this really helped advance my clinical performance and confidence as a trainee
AMBOSS is and has been my go-to resource throughout my MD-PhD. Because of study mode, the anki add on, and its ability to be offline and in my pocket, I have maximized my limited time in the q bank, took anki from memorization to learning, and been ready when pimped at the VA. Thank you for building such an incredible resource!
As a M2 student AMBOSS has been the cornerstone for all of my preclinical learning and success. I find myself utilizing the AMBOSS platform daily ranging form content learning through the extensive library, space reputation with Anki and the AMBOSS add-on, and most importantly their Q-bank that has allowed me to reinforce and apply my knowledge. The dynamic platform has allowed me to feel confident walking into our in-house exams and built my confidence as I prepare for STEP 1. I am excited to continue using the AMBOSS platform as I transition into my clinical rotation and I am confident that AMBOSS will be there to help me as I get ready to take my next step in this journey.
AMBOSS has been a game-changer for me, especially in helping me retain information with its evidence-linked journals, which I can easily reference whenever needed. The challenging questions push me to think critically, making exam day feel like a breeze. During rotations, AMBOSS has been an invaluable tool, helping me make quick, evidence-based clinical decisions and truly boosting my confidence in real-time patient care.
AMBOSS has helped me to understand how all the parts of my understanding fit together. Whether its clicking on specific words from my anki cards I've heard a million times but don't know the definition of or reading articles about topics that I was previously unsure of, I've realized I cannot survive as a medical student without AMBOSS. I also love using AMBOSS GPT because I can be confident that the generated answers are coming from a reliable source.
I think the integration of AMBOSS with anki and the ability to generate questions based off selected cards is amazing and has helped me a lot in preparing for in house exams. During my clinical work, AMBOSS has been very easy to use to look up disease pathophysiology and it does a better job of highlighting key information compared to resources like uptodate. I credit my improvement in my neuroscience courses, which are more clinically focused to AMBOSS articles that cover things in more depth than other resources.
School is University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. My favorite part of AMBOSS is the Anki add on, without a doubt. It makes going through cards so much faster and easier, especially when I don't have to constantly open up internet browser windows to search up unfamiliar words/terms. The built-in AMBOSS browsing feature makes brushing up on older concepts so much easier and the ability to pull practice questions via scanning Anki cards has been absolutely essential in my Step preparation.
I believe I learned more from AMBOSS than the standard curriculum in school. I believe that AMBOSS was the backbone of my medical education. It also helped me excel on the wards and integrate my basic science and clinical science information. It is truly a 1 stop shop to master the basics for medical school.
I love how easy it is to look up different topics on AMBOSS, with links imbedded in the text. It is also very easy to compare articles in the side-by-side view without losing your primary text. One of my other favorite aspects are the image overlays, as sometimes it is difficult to see things in histology or other imaging modalities. So far, AMBOSS has really helped facilitate my understanding of topics during study.
AMBOSS has helped me solidify the complex physiologic changes involved in many disease processes. The practice questions test my knowledge gained from lecture material and patch gaps in this knowledge with detailed explanations for the right and wrong answers. Additionally, as an Anki user, the Anki card finder for the AnKing deck is an invaluable supplement to my study routine.
AMBOSS is a staple in my medical school education. Whether I need to study for an exam, expand a differential diagnosis, or quickly review a topic before rounds, I love that AMBOSS is a reliable and convenient resource to turn to. Its integration across multiple platforms and devices means that I take it with me everywhere I go, and having access to a wide range of summaries, images, and diagrams at my fingertips has set me up for success in and out of the classroom.
